Happy Valentines's Day

Let me start off by saying that I LOVE Valentine’s Day! What a great day to celebrate the love we have for all the wonderful people in our lives. For me this cute little holiday will always hold a special place in my heart, because this is the day my husband, and best friend, asked me to be his wife. I am so grateful that I said YES one year ago from today, which was the best decision I have ever made.  I can honestly say that I fall more and more in love with Andrew each day. I am truly so lucky to be able to call him mine. I know super mushy gushy but give me a break its Valentines Day!!

As for this year, it was our first Valentines being married and it was beyond everything I could ask for! Andy really knows how to make things special for me, and I am truly one lucky girl.

So a few weeks ago Andy informed me that he had plans for us on the night of Valentines Day and that it was a complete surprise.  The suspense of not knowing was killing me for so long and I was constantly trying to get as much information out of him as I could... but that boy wouldn’t budge and I got nothing!! So I, on the other hand, wanted to make things special for him too, so on the morning of Valentines I made him a big yummy breakfast! I made pink crepes with a cream cheese filling, topped with raspberry syrup and powdered sugar served with heart shaped bacon, eggs, strawberries, hot coco and orange juice.  It was so yummy and Andy was impressed!
The beautiful flowers Andy surprised me with! He knows me too well because I love tulips!
After breakfast we both headed off to work :( when 4:00pm came around I was ready to go and Andy picked me up.  When we got into the car I asked him what the plans were, and he let me know that we would be going to dinner at The Roof, and that he had got us tickets to the Ballet West performance of Cinderella at the Capital Theater. When he told me this, I was full of so much excitement I started crying!! I know I know I am such a girl!!
The Roof was amazing, yummy and romantic all at the same time; I would totally recommend going if you haven't been. It was both of our first time going there and we loved it!!  Its definitely a little pricey for our newlywed/student budget, but gosh Valentines only comes once a year, and its fun to treat yourself every now and then... I just don't think we'll be treating ourselves there again until we graduate haha
Anyways after dinner we walked to the Capitol Theater to watch the ballet performance. I was so excited!
(The only pictures we took in the theater is the one of us, the others I took from google.)

The ballet performance was seriously breathtaking! We both enjoyed it very much... okay maybe me more than Andy, but what a stud to buy tickets to a ballet performance because he knows how much I would love it. It was such a fun Valentines day and I didn't want the night to end!
p.s. HAPPY VALENTINES DAY to everyone we know and love! We love you.
